1. About BusSewa
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the BusSewa website, mobile applications, customer support services, APIs, and all other digital platforms operated by BusSewa Ticketing Pvt. Ltd. ("BusSewa", "we", "our", or "us").
BusSewa is a technology platform that enables users to search, compare, book, and manage various travel-related services offered by independent third-party service providers.
Our services currently include, but are not limited to:
- Bus ticket booking
- Domestic flight booking
- International flight booking
- Hotel reservations
- Vehicle rental services
- Other travel-related services that may be introduced in the future
BusSewa does not own, operate, control, manage, or provide transportation services, accommodation services, vehicle rental services, or other travel services unless expressly stated otherwise.
Instead, BusSewa acts solely as an online intermediary and aggregator, facilitating bookings between customers and independent third-party travel service providers.
The actual travel services are provided entirely by the respective operators, airlines, hotels, rental providers, or other service providers.
2. Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing or using BusSewa's website, mobile application, APIs, customer support services, or by making any booking through BusSewa, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies published by BusSewa.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must immediately discontinue using BusSewa's services.
If you are booking on behalf of another individual, organization, company, or group of passengers, you confirm that:
- You have obtained the necessary authority to act on their behalf;
- You accept these Terms on behalf of every traveller included in the booking;
- You shall remain responsible for ensuring that all travellers comply with these Terms.
These Terms apply to every booking unless separate service-specific conditions expressly provide otherwise.
3. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms:
"BusSewa" means BusSewa Ticketing Pvt. Ltd., including its website, mobile applications, customer support, affiliates, employees, representatives, and authorized agents.
"Platform" means the BusSewa website, mobile applications, APIs, customer portals, payment interfaces, and any digital service operated by BusSewa.
"User" means any individual or entity accessing or using the Platform.
"Customer" means any user who searches, compares, books, purchases, modifies, or cancels any travel service through BusSewa.
"Booking" means any confirmed reservation made through BusSewa for any travel-related service.
"Travel Service" includes, without limitation:
- Bus transportation
- Domestic flights
- International flights
- Hotel accommodation
- Vehicle rental
- Any future travel-related services offered through BusSewa.
"Service Provider" means any independent third-party operator providing travel services through BusSewa, including but not limited to:
- Bus operators
- Airlines
- Hotel operators
- Vehicle rental providers
- Travel agencies
- Tourism partners
- Other affiliated service providers
"Operator" means a bus company or transportation provider responsible for operating the bus service booked through BusSewa.
"Fare" means the price determined by the relevant Service Provider for a travel service.
"Service Fee" means any platform, booking, convenience, processing, or technology fee charged by BusSewa.
"Payment Gateway" means any third-party payment processor used for completing transactions, including but not limited to eSewa, Khalti, IME Pay, Fonepay, Visa, MasterCard, UnionPay, ConnectIPS, mobile banking, internet banking, QR payments, or any other supported payment method.
"Travel Documents" means electronic tickets, boarding passes, booking confirmations, reservation vouchers, hotel confirmations, rental confirmations, invoices, QR codes, booking reference numbers, or any document required for travel.
"Force Majeure" means any event beyond the reasonable control of BusSewa or the relevant Service Provider including but not limited to: Natural disasters, Floods, Earthquakes, Landslides, Epidemics, Pandemics, Government restrictions, Political unrest, Civil disturbances, Road closures, Airport closures, Strikes, Lockdowns, War, Terrorism, Technical failures, Internet outages, Power failures, Cybersecurity incidents, Weather conditions, Any other unforeseeable event preventing normal operations.
4. Nature of BusSewa Services
BusSewa provides an online marketplace that allows users to discover and book travel services offered by independent Service Providers.
The Platform is designed to:
- Search available travel services;
- Compare available travel options;
- Display schedules, fares, availability, and other information supplied by Service Providers;
- Facilitate bookings;
- Collect payments where applicable;
- Deliver electronic travel documents;
- Provide customer support related to bookings.
BusSewa continuously develops new services and may modify, suspend, discontinue, or introduce additional services at any time without prior notice.
Nothing contained within these Terms shall obligate BusSewa to continue offering any specific feature or service indefinitely.
5. BusSewa's Role as an Aggregator
BusSewa operates solely as an online intermediary and booking facilitator.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, BusSewa:
- is not a transport operator;
- is not an airline;
- is not a hotel;
- is not a vehicle rental company;
- is not a tour operator;
- is not the owner of the buses, aircraft, hotels, or rental vehicles available through the Platform.
Every travel service available through BusSewa is independently provided by the respective Service Provider.
Accordingly:
- The transportation contract exists solely between the passenger and the relevant bus operator or airline.
- The accommodation contract exists solely between the guest and the hotel.
- The rental contract exists solely between the customer and the vehicle rental provider.
BusSewa's responsibility is limited to providing the technology platform through which bookings may be made.
BusSewa does not control or guarantee:
- vehicle condition;
- driver conduct;
- hotel quality;
- airline operations;
- flight schedules;
- bus schedules;
- cleanliness;
- punctuality;
- road conditions;
- weather;
- operational decisions;
- baggage handling;
- seat allocation (unless specifically guaranteed by the provider);
- onboard amenities;
- food services;
- Wi-Fi availability;
- entertainment facilities;
- accessibility features;
- or any other aspect of the travel service that is under the control of the Service Provider.
Any representations relating to travel services are supplied by the relevant Service Provider.
While BusSewa makes reasonable efforts to display accurate information, we cannot independently verify every detail provided by third-party Service Providers.
BusSewa shall not be liable for inaccuracies, omissions, delays in updates, or changes made by Service Providers after publication.
6. Relationship Between BusSewa, Customers, and Service Providers
When a booking is made through BusSewa:
- BusSewa facilitates the booking process using its technology platform.
- The relevant Service Provider accepts or confirms the booking.
- The travel contract is formed directly between the Customer and the relevant Service Provider.
- BusSewa may collect payments on behalf of Service Providers where applicable.
- BusSewa may charge separate platform or service fees.
Except where expressly required by law, BusSewa shall not be deemed a party to the transportation, accommodation, rental, or travel contract itself.
Accordingly, the Service Provider remains solely responsible for:
- operating the travel service;
- complying with applicable laws and regulations;
- maintaining licenses and permits;
- passenger safety;
- operational decisions;
- schedules;
- delays;
- cancellations;
- baggage handling;
- hotel operations;
- rental vehicle availability;
- and the proper performance of the booked service.
BusSewa may assist customers in communicating with Service Providers regarding booking-related issues. However, such assistance does not transfer responsibility for the underlying travel service from the Service Provider to BusSewa.
Where applicable, BusSewa may facilitate refunds, modifications, or cancellations in accordance with the policies of the relevant Service Provider and these Terms. Any such facilitation is performed as a customer service function and does not create additional liability on the part of BusSewa.
7. Eligibility and User Accounts
7.1 Eligibility
By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least eighteen (18) years of age or otherwise possess the legal capacity to enter into legally binding agreements under the applicable laws of Nepal.
- All information provided by you is true, accurate, complete, and current.
- You will use the Platform only for lawful purposes.
- You are not prohibited by any applicable law, court order, or governmental authority from using the Platform or purchasing travel services.
If you are making a booking on behalf of another person, you confirm that you are authorized to do so and accept these Terms on behalf of all passengers included in the booking.
7.2 User Account
Certain features of the Platform may require you to create a BusSewa account.
You agree to:
- provide complete and accurate registration information;
- maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials;
- promptly update any changes to your personal information;
- ensure that your account is not used by unauthorized persons.
You remain solely responsible for all activities carried out using your account.
BusSewa shall not be liable for any loss arising from unauthorized access resulting from your failure to protect your login credentials.
7.3 Account Security
You must immediately notify BusSewa if you believe:
- your account has been compromised;
- your password has been disclosed;
- unauthorized bookings have been made;
- suspicious activity has occurred.
BusSewa reserves the right to temporarily suspend access while investigating suspected security incidents.
7.4 Suspension or Closure of Accounts
BusSewa may suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate any account without prior notice where it reasonably believes that:
- false information has been provided;
- fraudulent activity has occurred;
- payment fraud is suspected;
- chargeback abuse has occurred;
- the Platform has been misused;
- the user has violated these Terms;
- the user has engaged in abusive, threatening, defamatory, discriminatory, or unlawful conduct towards BusSewa employees, partners, operators, or other users;
- continued access may expose BusSewa, its partners, or customers to operational, legal, financial, or reputational risk.
Termination of an account shall not affect any existing legal obligations or liabilities arising before such termination.
8. Booking Process
8.1 Searching for Travel Services
The Platform allows customers to search available travel services based on criteria such as:
- departure and destination;
- travel dates;
- passenger information;
- travel class;
- seat availability;
- hotel preferences;
- rental requirements;
- and other applicable filters.
Search results are generated using information supplied by independent Service Providers.
Although BusSewa makes reasonable efforts to present accurate and updated information, availability, pricing, schedules, and facilities may change without prior notice.
8.2 Booking Request
A booking placed through BusSewa constitutes a request to reserve the selected travel service.
Submission of payment alone does not necessarily guarantee confirmation.
A booking becomes confirmed only after:
- successful payment (where applicable);
- acceptance by the relevant Service Provider;
- successful issuance of the ticket or booking confirmation.
Where a booking cannot be confirmed due to technical failures, operator rejection, inventory changes, duplicate bookings, pricing errors, or other operational reasons, BusSewa may cancel the booking and arrange an appropriate refund in accordance with these Terms.
8.3 Passenger Information
Customers are solely responsible for ensuring that all booking information is correct, including but not limited to:
- passenger names;
- gender;
- nationality;
- age;
- contact number;
- email address;
- citizenship details;
- passport information;
- visa information;
- identification details;
- travel dates;
- destination.
The information provided must exactly match the official identification or travel document required by the relevant Service Provider.
BusSewa shall not be responsible for losses arising from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer.
8.4 Booking Confirmation
Following successful confirmation, BusSewa will generally send:
- booking confirmation;
- electronic ticket;
- travel voucher;
- hotel confirmation;
- flight itinerary;
- rental confirmation;
- invoice;
- or any other relevant travel document.
Delivery may be made through:
- email;
- SMS;
- mobile application;
- customer account;
- WhatsApp (where available);
- or other electronic means.
Customers are responsible for checking all booking details immediately upon receipt.
Any discrepancy should be reported to BusSewa without undue delay.
9. Pricing and Availability
9.1 Price Display
Prices displayed on the Platform are provided by Service Providers or their authorized systems.
Displayed prices may include:
- base fare;
- applicable taxes;
- service charges;
- operator fees;
- government charges;
- airport taxes;
- convenience fees;
- booking fees;
- platform fees;
- or other applicable charges.
The total payable amount will generally be displayed before payment confirmation.
9.2 Dynamic Pricing
Travel prices are dynamic and may change at any time before booking confirmation.
BusSewa has no control over fare adjustments made by Service Providers.
Accordingly:
- prices may increase;
- promotional fares may expire;
- inventory may sell out;
- seats or rooms may become unavailable;
- operators may revise pricing without prior notice.
BusSewa cannot guarantee that a displayed fare will remain available until payment is completed.
9.3 Pricing Errors
Despite reasonable efforts, pricing errors may occasionally occur because of:
- API synchronization delays;
- operator system errors;
- technical failures;
- human error;
- currency conversion errors;
- software malfunction.
Where an obvious pricing error exists, BusSewa reserves the right to:
- refuse the booking;
- request payment of the correct fare before confirmation;
- cancel the booking;
- provide a full refund of the amount paid where appropriate.
BusSewa shall not be obligated to honor prices resulting from manifest or obvious errors.
10. Payments
10.1 Accepted Payment Methods
BusSewa may support various payment methods, including:
- eSewa;
- Khalti;
- IME Pay;
- Fonepay;
- ConnectIPS;
- Visa;
- MasterCard;
- UnionPay;
- mobile banking;
- internet banking;
- QR payments;
- wallets;
- bank transfers;
- or other payment methods made available from time to time.
Available payment methods may differ depending on the service booked.
10.2 Payment Authorization
By submitting payment, you authorize BusSewa and its payment partners to process the transaction for:
- travel fare;
- applicable taxes;
- service fees;
- payment gateway charges;
- convenience fees;
- and any other disclosed charges.
10.3 Payment Verification
BusSewa reserves the right to conduct identity verification or payment verification where necessary.
This may include requesting:
- government-issued identification;
- passport;
- payment confirmation;
- ownership verification;
- bank verification;
- additional supporting documents.
Failure to provide requested information may result in cancellation of the booking.
10.4 Failed Transactions
A payment may fail due to reasons beyond BusSewa's control, including:
- insufficient funds;
- payment gateway interruption;
- banking network failure;
- technical malfunction;
- expired cards;
- fraud prevention measures;
- internet connectivity issues.
BusSewa shall not be liable for losses arising from failed payment processing by third-party payment providers.
11. Service Fees and Payment Gateway Charges
BusSewa may charge one or more of the following:
- platform fee;
- booking fee;
- convenience fee;
- technology fee;
- service fee;
- payment processing fee;
- administrative fee.
Any applicable fees will generally be disclosed during checkout.
Unless otherwise expressly stated:
- BusSewa service fees are non-refundable once the booking has been successfully processed.
- Payment gateway charges imposed by banks, wallets, or payment processors are non-refundable, including where a booking is cancelled or refunded, unless required otherwise by applicable law.
Where refunds are approved, only the refundable portion of the booking shall be returned.
12. Electronic Tickets and Travel Documents
Travel documents issued by BusSewa may include:
- electronic tickets;
- QR codes;
- booking confirmations;
- vouchers;
- itineraries;
- invoices;
- hotel confirmations;
- flight tickets;
- rental confirmations.
Customers are responsible for:
- reviewing the documents immediately after receipt;
- ensuring that all passenger details are correct;
- carrying valid identification required for travel;
- presenting the ticket when requested by the Service Provider.
Certain Service Providers may additionally require:
- printed tickets;
- passport;
- citizenship certificate;
- visa;
- driving licence;
- or other identification.
Failure to comply with operator requirements may result in denied boarding, denied hotel check-in, or refusal of service.
BusSewa shall not be responsible where a customer fails to satisfy the Service Provider's identification or documentation requirements.
13. Electronic Communications
By creating an account or making a booking through BusSewa, you consent to receive communications electronically.
Such communications may include:
- booking confirmations;
- payment receipts;
- cancellation notices;
- schedule changes;
- promotional communications (subject to applicable laws);
- security notifications;
- customer service responses;
- legal notices.
Electronic communications shall be deemed valid and legally effective upon transmission to the contact information provided by you.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your email address and mobile number remain current and accessible.
14. Service-Specific Terms
The terms contained in this section apply to the specific travel services booked through the BusSewa Platform. Depending on the service selected, additional terms and conditions imposed by the relevant Service Provider may also apply.
By completing a booking, you agree to comply with both these Terms and the applicable policies of the relevant Service Provider.
15. Bus Ticket Booking
15.1 Bus Booking Service
BusSewa provides an online platform that enables customers to search, compare, and purchase bus tickets offered by independent bus operators throughout Nepal and, where available, international bus routes.
BusSewa does not own, lease, operate, maintain, or control any bus or transportation service listed on the Platform.
All transportation services are independently operated by the respective bus operators.
15.2 Bus Operator Responsibility
The respective bus operator shall remain solely responsible for:
- operating the scheduled service;
- driver conduct;
- vehicle condition;
- roadworthiness;
- compliance with transport regulations;
- passenger safety;
- cleanliness;
- luggage handling;
- onboard facilities;
- departure and arrival operations;
- route selection;
- schedule management;
- operational decisions.
BusSewa shall not be responsible for the actual operation of any bus service.
15.3 Seat Selection
Where seat selection is available, BusSewa transmits the customer's preferred seat selection to the relevant operator.
Seat allocation remains subject to:
- operator confirmation;
- operational requirements;
- vehicle substitution;
- safety considerations;
- regulatory requirements.
Operators may change seat assignments without prior notice where operationally necessary.
BusSewa cannot guarantee that the selected seat will always remain available.
15.4 Boarding Requirements
Passengers are responsible for:
- arriving at the designated boarding point sufficiently before departure;
- presenting valid travel documents;
- carrying any required identification;
- following boarding instructions issued by the operator.
Failure to report before departure may result in denial of boarding without refund, subject to the applicable cancellation policy.
15.5 Missed Departure
If a passenger fails to board because of:
- late arrival;
- incorrect boarding location;
- failure to present valid identification;
- misunderstanding of departure time;
- personal circumstances;
- or any reason attributable to the passenger,
BusSewa shall not be responsible for missed travel or resulting losses.
Refund eligibility shall be determined according to the applicable cancellation policy.
16. Domestic Flight Bookings
16.1 Nature of Service
BusSewa facilitates bookings for domestic flights operated by licensed airlines.
The transportation contract is formed solely between the passenger and the airline.
BusSewa is not an airline and does not operate aircraft.
16.2 Airline Responsibility
The airline remains solely responsible for:
- flight operations;
- flight schedules;
- aircraft maintenance;
- safety;
- baggage handling;
- delays;
- cancellations;
- denied boarding;
- passenger assistance;
- operational decisions.
16.3 Passenger Information
Passengers are responsible for ensuring that:
- names exactly match official identification;
- identification documents are valid;
- citizenship or passport requirements are satisfied;
- any airline-specific requirements are met.
Any additional airline charges resulting from incorrect information shall be borne solely by the passenger.
16.4 Flight Schedule Changes
Airlines may modify:
- departure time;
- arrival time;
- flight number;
- aircraft type;
- route;
- operational schedule.
BusSewa will make reasonable efforts to notify passengers once updated information is received from the airline.
BusSewa shall not be responsible for schedule changes initiated by the airline.
17. International Flight Bookings
17.1 Scope
International flight bookings are facilitated through authorized airline partners, Global Distribution Systems (GDS), consolidators, or other approved booking systems.
Additional airline conditions, fare rules, and international aviation regulations shall apply.
17.2 Travel Documentation
Passengers are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining:
- valid passport;
- visa;
- transit visa;
- vaccination certificates;
- travel permits;
- immigration approvals;
- customs declarations;
- health documentation;
- any other documentation required by destination countries.
BusSewa does not guarantee entry into any country.
Immigration decisions remain solely with the relevant governmental authorities.
17.3 Airline Fare Rules
International airline tickets may be subject to:
- non-refundable fares;
- partially refundable fares;
- change penalties;
- fare differences;
- airline administrative charges;
- reissue fees;
- no-show penalties.
Refunds and modifications shall be governed primarily by the airline's fare conditions.
17.4 Currency Conversion
International bookings may be priced in foreign currencies.
Where applicable, BusSewa may convert prices into Nepalese Rupees using prevailing exchange rates or rates supplied by authorized partners.
Exchange rate fluctuations may affect the final payable amount.
BusSewa shall not be liable for losses resulting from currency fluctuations.
18. Hotel Reservations
18.1 Nature of Service
BusSewa facilitates hotel reservations through independent accommodation providers or authorized hotel booking partners.
BusSewa neither owns nor operates any listed hotel unless expressly stated.
18.2 Hotel Responsibility
Hotels remain solely responsible for:
- room availability;
- room quality;
- cleanliness;
- amenities;
- maintenance;
- check-in;
- check-out;
- guest services;
- food services;
- safety;
- compliance with local regulations.
18.3 Hotel Policies
Each hotel may maintain its own policies regarding:
- cancellation;
- refunds;
- early check-in;
- late check-out;
- deposits;
- smoking;
- pets;
- children;
- additional guests;
- identification requirements.
Customers agree to comply with the hotel's policies.
18.4 Star Ratings and Descriptions
Descriptions, photographs, amenities, ratings, and reviews displayed on the Platform may be supplied by hotels or third-party providers.
Such information is intended for general guidance only.
BusSewa does not independently verify every description or guarantee that the accommodation will precisely match customer expectations.
19. Vehicle Rental Services
19.1 Nature of Service
BusSewa provides a platform through which customers may reserve rental vehicles from independent rental providers.
The rental agreement exists directly between the customer and the rental provider.
19.2 Rental Provider Responsibility
Rental providers remain solely responsible for:
- vehicle availability;
- vehicle condition;
- insurance;
- maintenance;
- licensing;
- driver conduct (where applicable);
- fuel policies;
- security deposits;
- roadside assistance.
19.3 Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
- holding valid licences where self-driving is permitted;
- complying with traffic laws;
- returning vehicles as agreed;
- paying any applicable fines, tolls, fuel charges, parking fees, or damages.
19.4 Security Deposits
Certain rental providers may require refundable security deposits.
BusSewa neither collects nor controls such deposits unless expressly stated during booking.
Questions regarding deposits shall be addressed directly to the rental provider.
20. Third-Party Service Providers
BusSewa collaborates with independent Service Providers for the purpose of offering travel services.
These Service Providers operate independently of BusSewa.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, BusSewa does not guarantee:
- availability;
- quality;
- suitability;
- legality;
- performance;
- merchantability;
- fitness for a particular purpose.
BusSewa may suspend, remove, or discontinue any Service Provider from the Platform at its sole discretion without prior notice.
Such removal shall not affect bookings already confirmed unless operationally necessary.
21. Changes Requested by Customers
Where permitted by the relevant Service Provider, customers may request changes including:
- travel date;
- departure time;
- passenger information;
- route;
- hotel dates;
- room category;
- rental period;
- or other permitted modifications.
Approval of such requests shall remain subject to:
- Service Provider policies;
- fare conditions;
- availability;
- payment of applicable fees;
- administrative charges;
- fare differences.
BusSewa cannot guarantee that requested changes will be approved.
Where changes are permitted, additional charges imposed by the Service Provider or applicable taxes may apply.
22. Cancellation, Refunds and Rescheduling
This section governs cancellations, refunds, rescheduling, and travel disruptions for bookings made through the BusSewa Platform.
As BusSewa acts solely as an intermediary between customers and independent Service Providers, refund eligibility, cancellation rights, and modification requests may be governed by both these Terms and the policies of the relevant Service Provider.
Where a Service Provider maintains its own cancellation or refund policy, that policy shall prevail to the extent it is more restrictive or specifically applicable to the booked service.
22.1 Voluntary Cancellation by the Customer
Customers may cancel eligible bookings through the BusSewa Platform, customer support channels, or any other method approved by BusSewa.
Cancellation requests are considered received only after they have been successfully submitted and acknowledged by BusSewa or, where applicable, by the relevant Service Provider.
Submitting a cancellation request does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund. Refund eligibility shall depend upon:
- the cancellation policy applicable to the booked service;
- the timing of the cancellation request;
- the fare conditions imposed by the Service Provider;
- whether the booking has already been utilized or has become a no-show;
- any applicable taxes, service fees, payment gateway charges, or administrative deductions.
BusSewa reserves the right to require reasonable verification before processing any cancellation request.
22.2 Bus Ticket Cancellation Policy
Unless a different cancellation policy has been specified by the relevant bus operator at the time of booking, the following cancellation policy shall apply, unless the operator has a separate cancellation policy in place.:

Cancellation Charge
More than 48 hours
No cancellation fee
Between 24 and 48 hours
25% of the ticket fare
Between 14 and 24 hours
50% of the ticket fare
Less than 14 hours
No refund unless otherwise permitted by the operator
The above cancellation charges apply only to the ticket fare.
Additional deductions may apply where required under these Terms or by the relevant Service Provider.
22.3 Payment Gateway Charges
Charges imposed by payment gateways, banks, card issuers, digital wallets, or other payment processors are non-refundable.
Accordingly, where a booking is cancelled for any reason, any payment gateway charges incurred through payment methods including, but not limited to:
- Visa
- MasterCard
- eSewa
- Khalti
- Fonepay
- IME Pay
- ConnectIPS
- UnionPay
- Mobile Banking
- Internet Banking
- QR Payments
- or similar payment services
shall not be refunded unless otherwise required by applicable law.
22.4 BusSewa Service Fees
Unless expressly stated otherwise, BusSewa's own:
- platform fees;
- booking fees;
- technology fees;
- convenience fees;
- processing fees;
- administrative fees;
are considered earned once the booking has been successfully processed and are therefore non-refundable.
22.5 Airline, Hotel and Vehicle Rental Cancellations
Cancellation of domestic flights, international flights, hotel reservations, and vehicle rentals shall primarily be governed by the cancellation policies of the respective Service Provider.
Depending on the applicable fare or reservation type:
- some bookings may be fully refundable;
- some may be partially refundable;
- some may incur cancellation penalties;
- some may be entirely non-refundable.
BusSewa does not determine airline fare rules, hotel cancellation policies, or rental provider cancellation conditions.
Where a refund is approved by the Service Provider, BusSewa shall facilitate the refund subject to these Terms.
22.6 Refund Processing
Approved refunds shall generally be processed using the original payment method whenever reasonably possible.
Refund processing times may vary depending upon:
- banking systems;
- payment gateway processing;
- airline systems;
- operator approval;
- card issuer policies;
- public holidays;
- regulatory requirements.
BusSewa shall not be liable for delays attributable to third-party payment processors or financial institutions.
22.7 Partial Refunds
Certain bookings may qualify only for a partial refund.
Applicable deductions may include:
- cancellation penalties;
- operator charges;
- airline charges;
- hotel charges;
- rental provider deductions;
- BusSewa service fees;
- payment gateway charges;
- taxes that are non-refundable under applicable regulations.
22.8 No-Show Policy
A passenger shall generally be considered a "No-Show" where they:
- fail to report before departure;
- fail to board;
- fail to check in;
- fail to present required identification;
- fail to comply with operator instructions;
- voluntarily choose not to travel without cancelling beforehand.
Unless otherwise permitted by the relevant Service Provider, No-Show bookings are generally non-refundable.
23. Travel Policy
The following policies apply to bus journeys booked through BusSewa unless otherwise specified by the relevant operator.
23.1 Luggage
Luggage charges are not included in the ticket price unless expressly stated.
Bus operators may impose separate baggage limitations or excess luggage charges.
Passengers remain responsible for complying with the operator's baggage rules.
23.2 Baby Seats
Baby seats are not available on vehicles unless specifically stated by the operator.
Parents or guardians remain solely responsible for the supervision and safety of accompanying children.
23.3 Pets
Pets are not permitted onboard unless expressly authorized by the relevant operator.
Where pets are permitted under exceptional circumstances, passengers must comply with all operator requirements.
24. Passenger Responsibilities
Passengers are responsible for ensuring that they comply with all travel requirements.
Accordingly, passengers agree to:
- carry their travel ticket throughout the journey;
- produce valid identification when requested;
- comply with operator instructions;
- arrive at the boarding point at least 30 minutes before departure, unless the operator specifies otherwise;
- carefully verify whether departure times are shown in AM or PM;
- comply with all applicable laws and transport regulations.
Passengers acknowledge that failure to comply with these responsibilities may result in denied boarding without entitlement to compensation.
24.1 Lost Tickets
Passengers are responsible for safeguarding their travel documents.
Loss, deletion, theft, or accidental destruction of tickets shall not automatically entitle the passenger to a replacement or refund.
Replacement tickets may be issued only where technically feasible and permitted by the relevant Service Provider.
24.2 Missed Departure
If a passenger misses the bus because of:
- arriving late;
- misunderstanding the departure time;
- travelling to an incorrect boarding location;
- failure to verify ticket details;
- personal circumstances;
BusSewa shall not be responsible for any resulting losses or expenses.
25. Operational Changes
Passengers acknowledge that transportation services are subject to operational requirements that may necessitate changes beyond the control of BusSewa.
25.1 Bus Merging
Bus operators may merge scheduled buses due to:
- operational efficiency;
- low passenger volume;
- vehicle maintenance;
- technical issues;
- weather conditions;
- road closures;
- natural disasters;
- government restrictions;
- or other operational requirements.
Such operational decisions are made solely by the relevant bus operator.
BusSewa shall not be liable for such decisions.
25.2 Route Changes
Routes, stops, boarding points, drop-off locations, or travel paths may change because of:
- road conditions;
- traffic;
- weather;
- landslides;
- floods;
- strikes;
- security concerns;
- government directives;
- construction;
- or other operational circumstances.
These decisions remain solely within the discretion of the relevant operator.
25.3 Onboard Facilities
Passengers acknowledge that facilities advertised by operators—including but not limited to:
- Wi-Fi;
- charging ports;
- entertainment systems;
- air conditioning;
- blankets;
- refreshments;
- reclining seats;
- onboard toilets;
may occasionally become unavailable due to technical faults or operational reasons.
BusSewa cannot guarantee the availability of such facilities.
25.4 Schedule Changes
Departure times and arrival times may change without prior notice due to operational circumstances.
Where BusSewa receives timely information regarding such changes, reasonable efforts shall be made to notify affected customers.
However, BusSewa cannot guarantee that all notifications will reach customers before departure.
26. Force Majeure and Travel Disruptions
Neither BusSewa nor the relevant Service Provider shall be liable for delays, cancellations, interruptions, or failures caused by events beyond their reasonable control.
Such events include, without limitation:
- earthquakes;
- floods;
- landslides;
- epidemics;
- pandemics;
- severe weather;
- road blockades;
- strikes;
- civil unrest;
- war;
- terrorism;
- government restrictions;
- border closures;
- airport closures;
- technical failures;
- internet outages;
- power interruptions;
- cybersecurity incidents;
- or any comparable event.
26.1 Cancellation Due to Force Majeure
Where travel is cancelled because of Force Majeure:
- BusSewa's standard cancellation policy shall not automatically apply.
- Refund eligibility shall depend upon the policy of the relevant Service Provider.
- BusSewa may, where reasonably possible, assist customers in obtaining alternative travel arrangements or future travel credits.
26.2 Rescheduled Services
If the Service Provider reschedules the booked service because of operational reasons or Force Majeure, passengers may, where permitted by the relevant operator:
- accept the revised schedule;
- request an alternative available service;
- or cancel the booking.
Where cancellation is permitted solely because the operator rescheduled the service, BusSewa will facilitate a refund of the refundable ticket amount less any non-refundable payment gateway charges, unless otherwise required by law or the Service Provider's policy.
27. User Conduct and Prohibited Activities
BusSewa is committed to maintaining a safe, reliable, and secure platform for all users. By using the Platform, you agree to act responsibly, lawfully, and in accordance with these Terms.
You shall not:
- provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information;
- impersonate another individual or entity;
- make speculative, fraudulent, duplicate, or fictitious bookings;
- misuse promotional offers, discount codes, referral programs, or loyalty benefits;
- interfere with the operation or security of the Platform;
- upload or transmit viruses, malware, malicious code, or harmful software;
- attempt unauthorized access to BusSewa's systems, servers, databases, APIs, or networks;
- use bots, scripts, crawlers, scraping tools, or automated systems to access or extract data from the Platform without BusSewa's prior written consent;
- reverse engineer, copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit any part of the Platform;
- engage in abusive, threatening, defamatory, discriminatory, or harassing conduct toward BusSewa employees, Service Providers, or other users;
- use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
BusSewa reserves the right to investigate suspected misuse and take appropriate action, including suspension or termination of access, cancellation of bookings, reporting to relevant authorities, and pursuing legal remedies.
28. Fraud Prevention and Verification
To protect customers, Service Providers, and the integrity of the Platform, BusSewa may implement fraud detection and verification measures.
BusSewa may, at its discretion:
- verify customer identity;
- request proof of identity, citizenship, passport, or other official documents;
- verify payment methods;
- contact customers to confirm booking details;
- delay ticket issuance pending verification;
- refuse or cancel bookings where fraud is reasonably suspected.
BusSewa may also cooperate with financial institutions, payment gateways, law enforcement agencies, and regulatory authorities in investigating suspected fraudulent or unlawful activity.
Where a booking is cancelled due to suspected fraud or misuse, refunds, if any, shall be processed in accordance with applicable law and these Terms.
29. Intellectual Property
The Platform, including its software, source code, layout, design, graphics, logos, trademarks, service marks, text, databases, content, and functionality, is owned by or licensed to BusSewa and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws.
Nothing contained in these Terms grants users ownership of any intellectual property rights belonging to BusSewa or its licensors.
Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence solely to access and use the Platform for personal and lawful purposes.
Without BusSewa's prior written consent, users shall not:

- reproduce;

32. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BusSewa shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or special damages arising out of or relating to:
- delays or cancellations by Service Providers;
- schedule changes;
- denial of boarding;
- vehicle breakdowns;
- airline operational issues;
- hotel overbooking;
- rental vehicle unavailability;
- baggage loss or damage;
- missed connections;
- missed events or appointments;
- personal injury or property damage caused by a Service Provider;
- technical failures;
- internet outages;
- payment gateway interruptions;
- system downtime;
- inaccurate information supplied by third parties;
- force majeure events;
- customer negligence or failure to comply with operator instructions.
BusSewa acts solely as an intermediary and does not control the actual performance of travel services by independent Service Providers.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
33. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BusSewa, its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, and partners from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or legal fees arising out of or relating to:
- your breach of these Terms;
- your misuse of the Platform;
- your violation of any applicable law;
- your infringement of any third-party rights;
- inaccurate information provided by you;
- your negligence or misconduct.
This obligation shall survive termination of these Terms.
34. Suspension and Termination
BusSewa may suspend or terminate access to the Platform immediately where it reasonably believes that a user has:
- violated these Terms;
- engaged in fraudulent activity;
- abused the Platform;
- endangered the security or integrity of the Platform;
- caused harm to BusSewa, Service Providers, or other users;

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Nepal.
Any rights or obligations arising under these Terms shall be interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations of Nepal.
Where mandatory consumer protection laws provide additional rights, such rights shall remain unaffected.
37. Dispute Resolution
BusSewa encourages users to first contact its Customer Support team to resolve any concerns or disputes.
If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, the parties shall endeavour to resolve the matter through mutual discussions and good-faith negotiations.
Where resolution cannot be reached, the dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Nepal having appropriate jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking interim or injunctive relief where necessary to protect its legal rights.
38. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined by a court or competent authority to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
The invalid provision shall, to the extent possible, be interpreted in a manner that most closely reflects its original intent.
39. Waiver
Failure by BusSewa to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or of any other rights.
Any waiver shall be effective only if made in writing by an authorized representative of BusSewa.
40. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cancellation Policy, and any service-specific policies published by BusSewa, constitute the entire agreement between BusSewa and the user concerning the use of the Platform.
They supersede all previous understandings, communications, or agreements relating to the same subject matter.
